A Gnarly Trail Runners good time:
Full Moon On Moosilauke
6PM Saturday, September 10th, 2022
Glencliff, New Hampshire
Ain't much more badass than night hiking with your squad to catch a full moon rise on a big freakin mountain. Plus there's strength in numbers against werewolves. The route will take us straight up to Moosilauke's summit to howl at the moon then descend a different set of trails that loop back to the parking lot. Loads of gnarly verty vert but the average goal pace is chill + social (all paces welcome).
12 miles, 4700 ft gain
4-6 hours with moon gazing included
Our roving wolfpack needs more than the hair on our backs so here's a list of gear to help us all have more fun in the woods.
Average September temps are a high of 70°, 45° low. Packing snacks + water for 4-6 hours will thwart the dreaded double whammy bonk + dehydration.
water (2L minimum)
headlamp + extra batteries
windbreaker, rainshell or puffy
Weather in the mountains can change very quickly so we'll be keeping a close watch on it leading up to the event with our fingers crossed we get dealt a warm calm evening.
🤞 🤞 🤞
